this is the place for questionable reviews of...things. mostly movies and shows but sometimes other media too. these are nothing more than subjective ramblings of someone who feels the need to share his opions on everything ever with the world. the riveting opinions in question being me rating lierally everything a 6 or a 7. also some things i dont rate at all cause honestly i dont like the scale system for more unconventional stuff
10 = i never give tens it just feels wrong
9 = kino
8 = genuinly good
7 = quite enjoyable
6 = its aight
5 = youre nothing to me
4,3,2,1 = dont bother

der Baader Meinhof Komplex (2008)
score: 7/10
5 billion cigarettes were smoked during the production of this film. every character is mogging at all times. uh yea it was pretty good, it looked rlly good, the dialouge was kinda too on the nose for me at times, its got a bit of a style over substance issue. some good moments and performances too tho
Judge dread (1995)
score: 8/10
classic, peak, and people who rate it badly because its too cheesy should kill themselves
November (2017)
score: 7.3/10
I kept seeing clips of it online so i decided to check it out. good movie, i kinda feel like a kratt. wasnt a huge fan of the soundtrack tho, felt too modern
Undercover Brother (2002)
Neil harris jumpscare
Nekromantik (1988)
score: 4/10
felt kinda obligated to watch this one sooner or later. expected it to be one of those "shocking for the sake of it" movies, well, i was correct in that assessment lol. im glad they didnt actually kill a cat on screen tho, was worried there for a bit. i liked the way the corpses looked. mainly what it did is remind me that i want to watch more german movies
Bluelock S1 (2022)
score: 4/10
have you ever played soccer...with your life on the line?
The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)
score: 8/10
liked it a lot. there was this brief era in the 2010s where everyone was trying to make their movies as european and whimsical as possible
Dark City (2014)
score: 6/10
the visuals are pretty good but overall it just feels derivative of every dark scifi trope popular at the time. I found the plot to be unbearably boring (also the doctors ways of speaking uhhgghhh)
skinned deep (2004)
score: 7/10
this movie is fucking stupid. abyssmal acting, incomprehensible everything, so bad its funny which makes it kinda good again
brazil (1985)
score: 8.5/10
drags on for a bit too long but oh my peakness....
hour of the wolf (1968)
score: 8/10

The last of us S2 (2025)
score: 4/10
this shit so ass
secret of kells (1991)
score: 7.5/10

naked Lunch (1991)
normal events for a guy like me
blue velvet (1986)
extremely quiet movie, good soundtrack tho. the characters kind of lost me in the second half

the mention of asbestos was what made me watch it
the Color of Pomegranates (1969)
reminds me of installations i saw when i was younger
Darkest Dungeon 2 (2021)
score: 8.9/10
finished the confessions today, i liked the first game but this one i enjoyed a lot more, especially gameplay wise
The Green Knight (2021)
score: 4/10
i expected to enjoy this movie but honestly.... i just didnt. not even because anything is really wrong with it i just didnt like the presentation and acting, the story is okay. i dont get how so many ppl complain about not understanding the movie its very clear in its message. something about the visuals and effects was just off to me i cant fw it. Everyone was praising it for the practical look of the knight, too bad hes the only decent looking piece of the entire set, whats with those hideous CGI giants? the line delivery is very deliberate but i hate listening to the characters talk
between two fires (2012)
score: 6.7/10
i know this was very popular online a year or so ago because of the current dark fantasy obsession everyone has. weird book because its a fun read but also kinda not that good but also i find it hard to put into words what exactly bothers me about it. like, i could name every scene that i didnt like very much but that wouldnt be a concise way to criticize it. idk... it also has moments i liked a lot. ill give it a 7 because overall i enjoyed my time reading but i dont think its the best thing ever written and its just odd at times. it just feels like a very style over substance situation where it doesnt try to actually tell you much, which honestly im fine with but yeah very much rule of cool applied. the author apparently consulted some medieval combat experts but still had descriptions in it that made me cringe, cool you know the proper terms for the armor pieces but apparently not how a gambeson works?? oh also since the physical book is print on demand (pretty sure) the typesetting is god awful.... now it just sounds like im hating on it.... i still liked it kinda....lol
wish i could find a review online that actually has some substance and doesnt just meatride it like crazy
okay this is bothering me ill try to word it better (heavy spoilers). i think the book is so caught up in its darkfantasy bleak "everything sucks" schtick that a lot of the deaths feel sort of meaningless. and sure you can read it in a nihilistic way of "well awful shit happens, characters die and it doesnt matter" but personally, i find that to be kind of unfulfilling when its so blatantly clear that thomas and delphine have godlike plot armor and everyone else is disposable and can just get squished by a flying boulder or something at any time. also, nihilism doesnt mix well with a world where heaven exists. im fine with matthieu and co dying but i think the deaths couldve been timed better and have more of an impact. maybe thats just me but why the jellyfish? and then he sends them to his brother and that goes absolutely nowhere because he does nothing and then gets crushed by a building. It feels like the author just introduced him so he could write from his POV sometimes because he adds nothing worth noting to the plot, which is a shame. The family in Paris gets killed off because were only halfway through the book and the gang needs a reason to leave. jacqout appears again at the end for two seconds and dies immediately; why even bring him back? what im getting at is that to me the side character deaths often felt pointless and contrived at the same time, Matthieus was an emotional moment but could have been placed better. he didnt even get much of a character arc, his main trouble is that hes a sodomite and an alcoholic, everyone constantly ridicules him for it and he never gets to properly deal with his issues or be accepted. Its a stark contrast to Thomas who gets cured from the plague, constantly wounded in battle, has his soul transferred to avoid harm and is then literally pulled out of hell. and delphine can just get out of any situation anyways. just off-balanced.
anyways- what are the themes? what is the book trying to convey? the main theme i got from it was Redemption. Thomas' whole character revolves around him getting his shit back together and becoming a father to delphine despite all the awful things hes done. which ties in with the whole christian setting in which the afterlife and divine judgement are real, redemption and forgiveness play a big role. for thomas it works, its a pretty standard development, but hey nothing wrong with that. i dont really see that theme being applied anywhere else though really. ig its implied that matthieu and his brother made it to heaven but they didnt exactly do anything wrong in the first place. so idk its a flimsy motive at best. besides that there isnt much else, people love comparing this book to darksouls and berserk so "persevering through horror and hardship" comes to mind but imo that doesnt fit particularly well since everyone died and thomas only made it cause he happened to be girl jesus' dad, i suppose you could apply it on a larger scale since heaven won in the end but... meh. The "darkness" of the story works nicely for the setting but it does get kinda gratuitous at times, of course the first chapter starting out on an attempted rape scene is kind of an elephant in the room. personally, i do think you can portray anything if you do it right and the scene at the beginning, while not perfect, wasnt too badly executed. The one i had issues with was the one where thomas got controlled by a demon, primarily because it uses rape as a device to test thomas and prove that hes a good guy. i dont think he should be the one centered in that situation and delphine praising and thanking him for not going through with it was just.... idk felt weird. overly descriptive and unnecessary. also i dont get why they act like hes so morally above his brigand friends when it was mentioned that they did that stuff all the time while he stood by frowning, not acting. sure its part of his redemption too but its clumsy. also the ending was rushed and thomas lowkey didnt do shit in the battle. these are just some things i didnt like, not mentioning everything i did enjoy ofc.
ok rant over
Sampo (1959)
score: 7.8/10
i had to cleanse my eyes after seeing the new snow white life action promo pics with a folklore movie thats actually good
Invincible (2021)
score: 6.2
season 1: 7/10
trying to fill the shonenslop shaped hole in my heart with this. its such a weird show because some moments and characters are very well executed and i like the overall plot but then the majority of the interpersonal conflicts feel so tedious and contrived. and the dialouge is just unbearable at times, made me physically flinch more than once. the characters range from really cool and nuanced to obnoxiously cringe-worthy and lame. also honestly i dont blame them but its pretty funny how obvious it is where all the animation budget went.
season 2: 5.8/10
def weaker than the first one, feels kinda disjointed and the characters relationships are still the weakest link. the way they act like kate and immortal are soulmates after zero build-up and ONE scene where theyre fucking in the shower is straight up ridiculous. lack of build up is a big issue in general, especially for the main villain (if you can even call him that) who shows up at the beginning and the end and does fuck all to make me give a fuck about him. mauler twins and cecil are my goats tho
season 3: 6/10
it was okay. conquest was fun for the 5 seconds he was on screen, cecil did nothing wrong, every romance plot was as boring as ever
Hellsing (1997)
score: 6.3/10
one of the anime ever. i mean it was fun to watch, dont ask me about anything plot related the longer it went on the less i knew wtf was happening. ridiculous dub also. i miss when anime used to look like this
die ehre des scharfrichters (2014)
score: 8.5/10
its basically a historic analysis and retelling of Franz Schmidts work diary, who was the Nürnberg executioner in the 16th century. its a pretty thick book but i finished reading it in 3-4 days lol, partially due to the quality of the writing but mostly cause of my interest in the subject
Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
score: 7.5/10
i liked the second half a lot more than the first, it has some good lines and interesting characters (if you can call them that since theyre mostly based on historic figures). pacing is very odd tho
The City of Lost Children (1995)
score: 7/10
the is the type of movie you watch as a kid and then feels like a fever dream of a memory for the rest of your life. also for some reason i never realzed that Ron Pearlman is the hellboy guy? in my mind hes the Name of the Rose guy. idk. anyways this movie was bizarre, rlly good visuals and some insane specimens they got as actors
Dune (2021)
score: 5.6/10
at age 8 i attempted to read dune but didnt get very far so i barely know anything about it, well i watched the movie now after ages. to put it plainly, it didnt do anything for me. didnt care for the story, i dont like timothee and zendaya and the CGI looked rlly bad. im actually kinda torn on the visuals cause i do like some of the set ideas and costumes but idk somethings just off about the way its presented, but also i just dont like Villeneuves style in general. i think i mightve enjoyed the movie more if i watched it in theaters tho
he looks so stupid man... i mean i cant judge cause we have the same build but damn! sorta like killy but swagless
Fire in the Sky (1993)
score: 6/10
i hardly remember when and why i even put this on my watchlist, uhh its not a particularly good movie. its not terrible but its has like 20mins of worthwhile scenes and the rest just feels like padding. the actual UFO moments were pretty cool (and gross) tho. its funny that they went with "oh the grey alien appearance is just a space suit" but then they just look generic as hell underneath anyways lol. i liked the spaceships insides.
The Terror (2018)
the reason this one doesnt get a rating is because i was sleeping/not paying attention during most of it since i had it on in the background. Its seems to be a decent show tho, genuinly the thing that holds it back for me the most is that fucking bear. they should never have shown it im serious. it looks so bad and it ruined the suspence of the unseen creature so much for me that i just need it off the screen straight up. the rest was fine (from what i saw), i liked the costuming and setting and the gore effects were good, story and writing wise i cant say too much obvously. also all of the characters have ridiculous names suh as mr. Hickey, mr. Diggle,
mr. Blanky, mr. Hankypanky and mr. Stanky
Batman Returns (1992)
score: 7.2/10
im trying to figure out if all the superhero movies ive watched were ass or if i just dont care for the genre. Marvel is off the table cause i genuinly just hate it outside of cartoons so im making my way through batman rn. i actually quite liked this one it was pretty funny. basically confirms my issue with dark knight and the batman, i dont like the grungy grounded takes because they still come off as unbelievably goofy to me and end up in this limbo where i just cant take anything seriously at all. they dont look cool to me, theyre not particularly interesting or entertaining to me, idk i just dont care for them.(altho dark knight is a decent movie, that one im not shitting on as much it just didnt catch me). Returns is just stupid and over the top on purpose, which works much better for me. I also like the way gotham and the characters look. also is penguin always this lustful? i personally dont know the guy maybe hes always like that, but it was a bit unexpected. maybe not the best movie ever but i found it enjoyable
teryaki potato chips from store (2025)
score: 7.7/10
kind of smell like fish food. very normal flavor, good amount of saltyness
Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors (1965)
very atmospheric, thats fucked up what they did to you ivanko
We Are The Strange (2007)
i was scared this was going to be another WTDGTD moment but it turned out to be pretty charming and interesting. wouldnt call it good exactly but uhh. well the soundtrack was actually quite nice and it pulled the style off well. lets be real tho the plot is dumb id be lying of i said i knew wtf what was going on half the time also genuine strobe warning i got a headache during some of the scenes
Black Narcissus (1947)
score: 7.6/10
its a nice movie, very striking visuals. bit of a nightmare for my face blindness cause i couldnt tell the nuns apart for the life of me lol. its a slow paced drama, i think it has a good length but yeah not the most eventful plot ever, pretty good tho. watch if youre a nun enjoyer
Apocalypse Now (1979)
score: 8/10
this took me 3 sessions and a 4 month break to get through it, ill admit it. the crawling and meandering of the plot puts my brain in a state of haze, intentionally so, but jesus christ is it suffocating. during the middle i kinda felt like it was going nowhere but the last hour or so is genuinly amazing. so i do like it, would not rewatch lmao
Ted (the show) (2024)
score: 6/10
one of the shows ever
There Will Be Blood (2007)
score: 7.8/10
trying to catch up with the classics once again. listen its a good movie but the pacing is really doing its best to put me to sleep. this was my second attempt at watching it, this time i made it through but was fighting for my life by the end (okay it probably didnt help that i was already sleep deprived). i think my favorite part was daniels face when the oil tower burned down, his performance was very good in general. maybe it deserves a slightly higher rating since i dont exactly have any real criticisms but this is the number i feel in my heart
secret level ep.8 (2024)
score: 6.35/10
this is the armored core one for anyone wondering. didnt watch the rest since i dont care. the mech action scenes and new AC designs were rlly cool, too bad they constantly got interrupted by keeanu reeves hideus deepfake visage. that character and all of his interactions are unbearably cringe and reek of western AAA game writing, bros remind me is this AC6 or cyberpunk? anyways, the evil ayre stand-in was kinda interesting; in a way i wouldve prefered that type of personality over the ingame ayre. and the final scene was pretty cool
the tattoos.. the hairstyle.. everything just die bro. genuinly found it to be distracting
the batman (2022)
score: 6.5/10
late to the party and dont have much to say
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009)
score: 9/10
this was my favorite anime as a kid and all these years i assumed it wouldnt rlly hold up on a rewatch. no yeah its still goated sry i can now go back to publicly sucking it off
WHERE THE DEAD GO TO DIE (2012)
score 1.5/10
i debated all day wether or not i was going to write a review on this here cause tbh i dont know if i even wanna publicly admit that ive watched it at all. you know how i always complain about movies featuring scenes that come up with the grossest, most morally reprehensible display of whatever the fuck for nothing but pure shock factor? well this is 1.35h worth of essentially an MLG snuff film voiced by a 6 man discord group call. the visuals and dogshit acting i could maybe convince myself to find charming if it wasnt for literally everything else about it. calling it tasteless feels honestly redundant because that very clearly was the point. i thought i knew what i was getting myself into when the description i got was "you know this weird movie? oh let me delete the link again cause of uh the necrophilia". i mean i can handle a little movie necrophilia but i shit you not that was the tamest part about it. anyways yeah even if you like strange indie edgelord bs like me, this is just substanceless trash that makes you feel like youre on a watchlist afterwards. 1.5 points for sorta interesting animation style but whats most offensive to me isnt even that they dared to show all of those "taboo" subjects but that it tries to come across as profound with the most surface level commentary you could imagine. and ppl genuinly fall for it gaslighting themselves into thinking the story is good.
ohuh wow lemme guess "muh defilement of innocence and perversion of nature guhuhhh critique of catholic double standards ghhh" yeah thats what i thought. GTFO!! and if you deadass think this somehow sheds light on child abuse or something you ought to be beaten with a pipe truly and honestly
this shit. is ass.
Infinity Pool (2023)
score: 5/10
its just lame idk what else to say about it
Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari (1920)
surprisingly watchable for a silent film from 1920, i mostly just wanted to see it cause im interested in Conrad Veidt.
Nosferatu (2024)
score: 7.2/10
watched it in theaters with my friends, very funny movie idk how everyone managed to not giggle the entire time. besides that it was also well made i liked this take on the dastardly fellow. also willem my goat
Wolf of wallstreet (2013)
score: 7/10
having this on my revs right after inglorious basterds doesnt look good on my part. listen man atm im trying to catch up on all the movies everyone besides me has watched okay? well anyways the movie was entertaining for the fact that its so fucking long. isnt it kinda weird that it came out in 2013? feel like it should be a little older. also hate to say it but the entire time i was just thinking about how Belfort was kinda Kümmelstedt coded
Inglourious Basterds (2009)
score: 7.1/10
not my favorite movie ever but pretty enjoyable pretty good. worst part for me was Eli Roths performance and character i cant stand that guy also thank god Till Schweiger barely got to talk
Wicked (2024)
score: 2/10
goes against everything i love and cherish
Fruits of Passion (1981)
i randomly found an internet archive link to this movie and decided to watch it without knowing anything about it. safe to say i did not expect the fiend to be lurking once more. klaus is here. and worst of all hes fully naked, you can see the back of his balls for 3 whole seconds. (besides the kinski gooch and cuck stuhl jumpscares the 1920s china political commentary and characterization of the women and their psyche was very compelling)
ok i was originally gonna leave it at that but looking further into reviews of this film i was surprised to see that they were mostly negative essentially saying stuff like "okay it looks nice and all but is basically just softporn and fails at being a drama because you cant care about the characters". i think something along that line could be said about a lot of artistically erotic sad movies and while some scenes could def be described as gratuitous, i feel like boiling this down to pretty porn is doing it a disservice. the prostitutes were portrayed in a very human way and even if we only got glimpses into their backstories it left plenty of room for imagination of how they ended up in that situation and what keeps them there. at first i thought O would just be your average le innocent european girl surrounded by all the "exotic" debauchery of the foreign land (caugh caugh), i was happy to see that wasnt really her deal. i found her to be a very interesting character especially with her evil ass dependency on steven and idk why all the plot summaries just say "shes in love with an older man" when its clearly more than just that. also all of the sex scenes were extremely un-sexy and intentionally so. theres still criticisms to be had of course and i dont think the film is a "must watch" for everyone, but all the ones i have read just really dont do it justice, even the ones praising the movie have a very weird vibe to them purely going off of aesthetics and beauty.
Dandadan (2024)
score: 5/10
maybe unpopular opinion but i just did not care for it. partially because i just dont watch romance anime, which im not gonna blame the show for thats just a personal taste thing. but besides that i didnt like any of the characters, well the grandma i would like if it wasnt for her design and momo is okayyyy. the rest, just die idc. ig the cat can stay too. i did enjoy the action scenes and the animation was pretty nice. the monster designs are cool too but i dont like the humans. for every good thing they add one annoying thing, the fanservice was also pretty egregious. okay i will say, the aggro silky backstory episode was really good if the entire anime was on that level of quality id give it an 8/10, unfortunately it just goes back to slop right after. honestly maybe a 5 is a bit harsh but i got annoyed one too many times and the ending of S1 just sealed it for me, what kind of cliffhanger even is that? the dudes are fucking around while momo gets molested by old men in the tub see you in season two!
sorry i hate hate hate okaruns ghost whatever design its so ugly
Squid Game - season 2 (2024)
score: 3/10
genuinly just sucks balls und i forgot i even watched it a day after. first season at least had some intrigue (and dropped the ball in the second half), this season has nothing. i was both bored and annoyed at the same time and then they hit me with their stupid ass ending that just feels like a total cop out and pathetic cry for another season.
Tetsuo II - Body Hammer (1992)
score: 5/10
idk what it was about this movie that made it such a slog for me to get through. cause the visuals are nice and all and there is almost always some shit happening but it was just suchhh a slow watch i had to take 2 breaks eventho the movie is only 1:20h. it wasnt like that with the first one, the sequel also felt somehow a little more conventional? the shitty effects are still charming, they managed the transition from black and white to color pretty gracefully, still preserving the expressionistic look with the harsh contrasting shadows and blue lights. the last third had the best shots for sure. but yeah sorry i was very bored most of the time and the novelty of it all also wasnt exactly present anymore since a lot of it i had already seen in the first one. good soundtrack still
Amadeus (1984)
score: 7/10
this one took me 2 sessions to get through it, ultimately i have mixed feelings. Salieri was the true star of the movie i enjoyed the way he was written and felt pretty sympathetic towards him despite his villainy, also liked the whole choice to have the movie be from his perspective. now mozart, idk man. IF the intention was to fully show him through salieris eyes all throughout the movie they succeeded cause i found him kind of unbearable to watch. but im not entirely sure that was the case, i feel like the audience is supposed to find him endearing when i was just kinda annoyed and could never fully root for him. not my favorite movie but it did have some good and iconic moments, i liked the staging of Don Giovanni. generally kind of difficult to get through tho, i have watched 4 hour movies where i wasnt bored for a second, this one hardly excuses the runtime. still i can appreciate the production
reservoir dogs (1992)
score: 8.2/10
good movie, rlly liked the way the characters were portrayed, most of them felt likable and unlikable at the same time. im not a big tarantinohead, not that i have strong opinions on his films i just dont rlly watch them, so this was only the second one i saw. idk i always somehow manage to evade watching the classics
Extraordinary Tales (2013)
score: 6.8/10
i def would have loved this movie as a kid, nowadays- well its a decent watch. mainly for anthology aspect and the different visual styles. they are pretty out there for the time and you can see the beginnings of those mixed media 3d styles that are popular at the moment, also kind of looked more like a videogame than a movie at times. there are some notable names involved like del toro or bela lugosi so idk if its just me who had never heard of it or if it fr just kinda flew under the radar. never saw anyone mention it before. the stories themselves are very simple, obv just based on edgar allen poes novels, some more interesting than others but generally nothing to write home about. admitedly the voice acting was kinda ass in some parts
^where i post from btw
Marquis (1989)
would only ever recommened this to a VERY specific type of person lmao, definitely not to someone who wouldnt wanna see scary french puppets perform sexual acts of violence for almost 2 hours staight (which is the majority of people i dare to assume). interesting watch for sure, i found a version of it with english subtitles on internet archive. Also i have read a little bit of marquis de Sades work, besides the dog abomination and talking penis its a rather positive, mild mannered depiction of him (wether thats accurate to the historical figure or not). also ig calling them puppets isnt actually correct theyre human actors with animatronic masks, theres also a few claymation segments
Schwarze Früchte (2024)
score: 6.8/10
forgot to review this one. i dont actually watch german TV shows very much, last one i saw was Dark i think lol. the dialouge in this one is so realistic to how young ppl speak here its kind of scary sometimes. and they manage to (mostly) pull it off without being cringe. its main drawback is unfortunately the main character Lalo, he started out as a "okay hes annoying and messy but thats the point and you still root for him and get why hes like that" to him becoming more and more flanderized to the point where it was hard to care. other characters pull off the empathetic but annoying thing a lot more gracefully than him and Karla was just great in general. i wouldve liked to see more interactions with her and her coworker. but yea by the end most of the Lalo plotpoints just had me thinking dude shut the fuck up what are you doing (in a bad way). and his whole deal of "letting go and starting anew" didnt entirely work for me cause i didnt feel like him letting go but just everyone leaving him cause he messed up. idk his arc just felt weirdly executed and incoherent. nontheless i think this show is a big milestone for german TV and i hope there will be more like it in the future. also i kinda wanted a 3rd main character for ballance but maybe that wouldve been too much to juggle so idk. Die Schlachterhunde von wokistan sind von der Kette!
the northman (2022)
score: 7.1/10
fun movie, vikings are conceptually very funny
true detective - season 1 (2014)
score: 6/10
i mean... its alright... not sure where the universal praise comes from. its pretty much your standard thriller crime show with a main character that the writers take way too seriously. you could rlly tell they thought they outdid themselves with rust when in reality his nihilistic "guhh...im a realistic pessimist" monologues just gave me secondhand embarrassment (his young version atleast, the mustache one was acceptable). show made for good background noise thats all i have to say on it
Ted (2012)
honestly idk something just came over me
Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
score: 8/10
peak tbh no wonder its so beloved
smile 2 (2024)
score: 6.17/10
not entirely sure if i liked it or not. i mean its horror slop but it was decently executed and had some good moments. maybe it deserves a higher rating because of that but idk something just holds me back. type of movie you can just put on and watch with a friend and have it be fine entertainment yk? never actually watched the first one cause the premise looked so dumb to me, so i was surprised to see the second one get some praise online. well im sure its a step-up
Alien: Romulus (2024)
score: 5.5/10
nothing particularly offensive about this movie in any way it was just painfully mediocre. HR Gigers art direction is a mere spectre haunting the set, last hint of it being the alien itself. The rest just looks like you typed in "spaceship futuristic royalty free" into the unity asset shop. honestly its barely even a horror movie
the name of the rose (1986)
score: 8/10
this is the movie pentiment was based on, the influences are def very prevelant now that ive seen it lol. good watch, dont have that much to say on it but the line delivery was very funny, CRAZY old coot casting and i think its overall just a nice older movie. i liked how they tied everything up in the end, with the themes too
Aguirre, the wrath of god (1972)
yet another movie ive been meaning to watch for a while. the plot is basically just worst fieldtrip in the history of spain. extremely uncomfortable ambience throughout, likely due to klaus kinski being within the vicinity. i can appreciate it for what it is but honestly no idea what i would critically rate it. great costume design
and of course the main thing ppl know this movie for is the suicide inducing production, but in case you dont i wouldnt wanna withhold that from you
"The working relationship between the two was contentious; Herzog had threatened, on occasion, to murder Kinski. In one incident, Kinski was said to have been saved by his dog who attacked Herzog as he crept up to supposedly burn down the actor's house. Herzog has refused to comment on his numerous other plans to kill Kinski. However, he did pull a gun on Kinski, or at least threatened to do so, on the set of Aguirre, the Wrath of God, after the actor threatened to walk off the set.
